The highly anticipated IPL 2025 mega auction, which will decide the fate of 574 shortlisted players, is currently underway at the Abady Al Johar Arena in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. With just 204 slots up for grabs, including 70 overseas ones, only a select few out of 366 Indian and 208 overseas players will be picked by the Indian Premier League (IPL) teams for the 2025 season. Another big update coming from the mega auction is regarding Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj who has been sold to Gujarat Titans at INR 12.25 Crore.

Mohammed Siraj was a part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru before he was released by the franchise ahead of IPL 2025 mega auction. After that, the right-arm pacer registered himself for the auction at a base price of INR 2 Crore. Siraj has been one of the most improved bowlers in the last few years in IPL, playing for two different franchises including Sunrisers Hyderabad and RCB. Now, he is set to play for Gujarat Titans in the upcoming edition of the cash-rich league.

The 30-year-old will join the likes of Afghanistan's Rashid Khan and South African pacer Kagiso Rabada in the bowling unit of the IPL 2022 winners. Siraj's former team Royal Challengers Bengaluru said no to use their 'Right to Match' card.

Mohammed Siraj IPL Career

Mohammed Siraj started his IPL career with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) after the franchise bought him for INR 2.6 Crore ahead of IPL 2017. The fast bowler played just six matches in that season taking 10 scalps, before he was sold to RCB ahead of IPL 2018 for the same price. Siraj has played 93 matches in his IPL career so far taking 93 scalps at an average of 30.34.
