The highly anticipated IPL 2025 mega auction, which will decide the fate of 574 shortlisted players, is currently underway at the Abady Al Johar Arena in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. With just 204 slots up for grabs, including 70 overseas ones, only a select few out of 366 Indian and 208 overseas players will be picked by the Indian Premier League (IPL) teams for the 2025 season. Australian cricketer Mitchell Marsh has recently been sold to Lucknow Super Giants for INR 3.40 Crore for the upcoming season.
Mitchell Marsh was a part of Delhi Capitals before he was released by the franchise ahead of IPL 2025 mega auction. He is now set to join a star studded batting line of LSG including the likes of Rishabh Pant, David Miller and Aiden Markram. Apart from that, Marsh can also serve as a handy right-arm fast bowler.
Mitchell Marsh IPL Career
Mitchell Marsh made his IPL debut for Deccan Chargers after the franchise bought him for INR 2,314,500 ahead of IPL 2009. Since then, he has played for four different franchises including the likes of Pune Warriors India, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rising Pune Supergiants in his IPL career so far.
Mitchell Marsh didn’t have a good outing in his last IPL season for DC as he could only score 61 runs in four innings and took just one wicket with the ball. Now, the right-hander will be looking to go big for LSG in the upcoming edition of the IPL.
