After that, MI haven’t been able to dominate the league again and have qualified for the playoffs just once between 2021 to 2024. MI also took a big decision to make Hardik Pandya captain ahead of IPL 2024 replacing Rohit. However, it turned out to be an forgettable season as they finished last in the points table.
