Former England skipper Michael Vaughan replied to a fan who trolled him for being dismissed by former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar. Vaughan is known for mincing no words when it comes to expressing his opinion. Not only this, but the former cricketer has also a strong social media presence, where he time and again keeps engaging in banter with former cricketers. Vaughan, once again, made it to the headlines, but this time he was on the receiving end of a troll.

One of Shoaib Akhtar’s fans posted an old video of him, where Vaughan was dismissed by the former Pakistan great. Vaughan was forced to walk back with a below-par score of 13 runs off an Akhtar delivery during one of the Test matches between England and Pakistan.

However, Vaughan took the troll lightly and replied to the fan saying that getting out by a genius like Akhtar is not at all a matter of disgrace. Not only this, but he went on to say that it was due to that dismissal that he got to show off his barnet. Vaughan tweeted, “Getting out to a genius like Shoaib Akhtar is no disgrace .. btw .. it was nice to get the lid off and show off my Barnet..those were the days.”
Pakistan and England are set to lock horns in their respective last league-stage clashes in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. Both the teams will lock horns on November 11 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
