Modern India cricket icon Virat Kohli said that it would be great to win the World Cup together with Rohit Sharma. While Sharma is currently leading the side in the ODI World Cup 2023, Kohli has played a key role for India. The star batter has played some of the most crucial knocks to extend India’s unbeaten streak in the ongoing masterpiece.

Kohli, who will celebrate his 35th birthday on November 5, was in conversation with Star Sports, where he spoke about India skipper Rohit Sharma. The former India captain said that since he and Sharma have been playing together for quite some years, it’d be amazing to lift the World Cup with him. 

Star Sports quoted Kohli as saying, “Rohit Sharma & I have been playing together for the last 15 years. It will be very nice and amazing to win the World Cup together". Both cricketers have emerged as Team India’s backbone in the last few tournaments and games. Sharma has been instrumental in providing India with prolific starts and scored 398 runs in six innings. 

Kohli, on the other hand, has collected 354 runs in six innings for his side in the ongoing ICC event. The two-time champions locked horns with Sri Lanka on November 2 at the iconic Wankhede in the rematch of the 2011 World Cup final. The hosts will next take on South Africa on November 5 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
