Formula 1 team Red Bull suffered another trophy mishap for the second weekend in a row. Max Verstappen started at P6 on the grid but ended up coming on top, followed by teammate Sergio Perez. Verstappen had received a five-place grid penalty after he took on a fifth gearbox assembly of the campaign ahead of qualifying. In a video posted by Red Bull and Formula 1, the staff could be seen running towards the camera after their group photo to celebrate in their usual style. However, someone tripped over the trophy, and it got damaged. Meanwhile, the Belgian GP winner Verstappen was left shocked and could be heard shouting, “It’s broken again. The trophy is broken again!"
Notably, this is for the second time in a row that Verstappen’s trophy got damaged in post-victory celebrations. During the Hungarian GP celebrations last weekend, Verstappen’s trophy slipped off the podium and smashed after McLaren Lando Norris popped the champagne by hitting the bottle on ground.
