Jake Paul is set to co-headline with Amanda Serrano when she defends her featherweight world title against Nina Meinke on 2 March 2024. The fight will take place over 12 three-minute rounds in Serrano's native Puerto Rico. In his last bout, Jake Paul knocked out Andre August in the first-round clash at Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida. It seems that his last clash has left Paul with some thirst for more boxing, and in no time, he announced his next fight.
In the Serrano's unified Featherweight championship bout against Nina Meinke, Paul will be part of the co-main event. While Serrano will be part of the main event, Paul is seemingly quite excited for the forthcoming bout. Though the ‘Problem Child’ has announced the bout, he is yet to announce who he will fight against.
Paul took to his social media and announced the forthcoming fight saying, “Guess who’s back :) … Jake already? Yes, I’m on a mission... But this one is much bigger than me. This one is for the greatest Puerto Rican boxer ever, Amanda Serrano. This one is for the people of Puerto Rico, from the Choliseo to the world. This one is for all of boxing to see how powerful women are in this sport and for Wanna Walton to usher in his superstar boxing future in front of 20,000 people. I can’t wait to fight in San Juan and show the world this beautiful island. Yours truly, El Gallo de Dorado.”
Serrano also announced the highly anticipated bout by tweeting, “INSANE is an understatement I’m in cloud 9! To have my Manager @jakepaul be my CoMain is so humbling I’ve literally cried. He’s nothing near what ppl say & I get to live and experience it time & time again. My real question is am I deserving of this all?”
Notably, Serrano vacated her WBC title this month after the organisation refused to sanction the format for her clash against Danila Ramos in October.
