American TV host and comedian J immy Kimmel slammed NFL star Aaron Rodgers and threatened to sue him over the ‘Epstein List’ feud. Kimmel responded to Rodgers’ claims about the former’s potential connection to the list of Jeffrey Epstein‘s associates. The controversy began when Rodgers appeared on the Pat McAfee Show and hinted that Kimmel might be one of the people associated with Epstein.
Epstein committed suicide in prison in 2019 while facing trafficking charges. While appearing on the show, the New York Jets quarterback suggested that Kimmel was among the names on the Epstein list. He said, “There’s a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, who are really hoping [the list] doesn’t come out. … I’ll tell you what, if that list comes out, I’ll definitely will be popping some sort of bottle.”
Watch the video here:
The list contains names of almost 200 people who have been associated with Epstein, as his associates, former employees, passengers on his private jet, and more. The list has been kept under wraps but could be made public soon.
Jimmy Kimmel slams Aaron Rodgers; threatens to sue him
The late-night host didn’t take the accusations lightly and went on to slam Rodgers on social media platform, X (formerly Twitter). The 56-year-old took to social media and said, “Dear Aa**hole: for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any ‘list’ other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality. Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court.”
Notably, Rodgers’ comment came in retaliation for the joke Kimmel made on his show. He had mocked the 40-year-old and said that Rodgers was distracting people from his poor performance by talking about Epstein's list and UFOs on the Pat McAfee Show.
