What sparked another controversy in the match was Joe Root’s dismissal. In the early overs of the England inning, Jasprit Bumrah dismissed the England batter for a golden duck. However, the ball pitched slightly up with Root getting beaten due to the lack of bounce as it showed the impact in line, hitting the stumps. However, Joe Root was adjudged out by the umpire, he also took a review with the ultra-edge showing slight spike. But the third umpire called in for a wicket with batter making his way to the pavilion, losing his cool on the controversial review.
