Team India is currently playing the fourth match of the five-match T20I series at home against England at the MCA Stadium in Pune, leading it with a scoreline of 2-1. India's bowling cartel has performed very well in the series, however, the batting department, especially the middle-order have struggled to score big runs consistently, including Sanju Samson, who was severely trolled on X for his recent poor showing.
Sanju Samson, who has been challenged by Jofra Archer and other England fast bowlers pace throughout the series, ended up giving the wicket on a pull shot to Saqib Mahmood in the fourth T20I in Pune. He was pressed for space and ended up conceding a routine catch to deep square leg, getting dismissed for one run in three balls. Samson has yet to have a good performance in the ongoing series. However, the Indian team selectors have decided to keep the wicket-keeper batter as their opener.
