Indian wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul is rehabilitating at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru after sustaining a horrific injury during the Indian Premier League 2023. The 31-year-old picked up an injury on his right leg while fielding during LSG’s match against RCB at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow, later being ruled out of the tournament.
The Indian batter later also ruled himself out of the World Test Championship 2023 and has been undergoing rehabilitation at the NCA. Recently, the cricketer shared a post on his recovery as he can be seen lifting weights and performing exercises. The post which has garnered comments from several fans, one of the comments which caught the attention was from Indian wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan.
The MI and India wicketkeeper-batter dropped a hilarious comment on KL’s post, taking a cheeky dig at the cricketer. “Why is Mr Rajni doing so extra,” commented Ishan Kishan.
It is to be noted that Ishan Kishan was included in the 15-member squad as replacement of KL Rahul for the World Test Championship Final. The Men in Blue will next tour West Indies for an all-format series, starting July 12, 2023.
