Pakistan’s white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan sent a direct message to the players of the Indian team amid the ongoing fiasco regarding ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Rizwan has said that the side will be welcomed if they decide to fly across the border for the forthcoming tournament. Notably, the tournament is currently on a standstill after the Indian government refused to send the Indian team to the neighbouring nation for the upcoming ICC tournament.
The BCCI informed the ICC about the decision and proposed a hybrid model. However, the Pakistan government has asked the PCB not to organise any games outside the country. In the latest development, the PCB demanded a written explanation from the BCCI about their unwillingness to travel to Pakistan, along with the reason behind it. Moreover, the cricketing board is willing to get their government involved in the matter as well.
KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav are all welcome: Mohammad Rizwan
Amid the ongoing fiasco, Pakistan’s recently-appointed white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan invited KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav and all the players of the Indian team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025. In a video circulating on social media, Rizwan said that all players who will come to Pakistan will be welcomed. Sportskeeda quoted the 32-year-old as saying, "KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav are all welcome. All the players who will come, we will welcome them.”
He added, “This is not our decision, this is PCB's decision. Whatever decision will take place, hopefully they will all discuss and take the right call. But we are hopeful that if the Indian players will come, we will welcome them.” Amid all the speculations, a report in PTI via News18 stated that the tournament might be shifted to South Africa.
