Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Will Jacks opened up on his experience of playing with the franchise in their away games. The Englishman made his IPL debut during the 17th edition of the cash-rich league, and it would be safe to say that, he has already made a mark for himself. The youngster hit his maiden IPL hundred during RCB’s game against Gujarat Titans and helped the side cruise to an easy nine-wicket win.
The 25-year-old has time and over again spoken about his love for former RCB captain and batting maestro Virat Kohli. Recently, during an RCB event, the batter opened up on the experience of playing with the Bengaluru-based franchise at other venues than the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Indian sports broadcaster Mayanti Langer asked Jacks how supportive fans have been outside Bengaluru.
Jacks said that every game has been a home game, owing to the support of the fans. He told Mayanti, “I think I'm stuck on what counts as it feels like every game is a home game. It’s amazing. At least half of RCB shirts are in the crowd, it’s an amazing feeling, they are always chanting obviously. Kohli and RCB chants everywhere, like you are out of the way there like you feel like there’s something out there. You always feel you got support, and if you do well, they will cheer for you.”
Royal Challengers Bengaluru playoff qualification scenario IPL 2024
Will Jacks starring RCB are currently seated on the last sot of the IPL 2024 standings with just three runs in their account. They are set to lock horns with Gujarat Titans in their last game’s rematch on May 4, Saturday. Their qualification scenario for the playoffs depends on other teams. Apart from RCB being required to win all their remaining four league stage matches, teams like SRH, CSK, and DC need to lose all their upcoming games to stay where they are at the points table.
On the other hand, PBKS would be required to have a tie with either SRH or CSK, so that the highest they can score is 13 points. It is because the highest they can score is 16 points.
