The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 The Grind starts on Thursday. 128 teams will compete in week 1 for a chance to advance to the next stage. The prize pool for the BGIS main event was revealed today by Krafton which is expected to be around INR 2 crore and will be distributed among the top 16 teams at the main event.

First place at the event will win a staggering INR 75 lakh. There are also prizes for individual performances, which will reward standout players who managed to showcase their skills during the main event. The full prize pool details are as follows.
1st Place – INR 75 Lakhs
2nd Place – INR 37.5 Lakhs
3rd Place –INR 25 Lakhs
4th Place – INR 12.5 Lakhs
5th Place – INR 10 Lakhs
6th Place – INR 8 Lakhs
7th Place – INR 6 Lakhs
8th Place – INR 4 Lakhs
9th-12th Place – INR 2 Lakhs each
13th -16th Place – INR 1 Lakh each

The Grind to sets the stage for GBIS 2023
The Grind is a scrim session that will act as a qualifier for the main event BGIS 2023. A total of 256 teams have been invited based on past performance, including a fair number of underdogs and newer teams hungry for esports glory. The five-week event will see the 256 teams gradually try to move onto further rounds until 32 remain going into week 5.

The Grind will be commentated in English by SuperJonny and Nekrou and in Hindi by Mazy, AnkiiiBOT, Spero and Shadow. The Grind will be streaming live on the Krafton India Esports YouTube page.
