In a big update, LeBron James-led LA Lakers are closing to finalise a three-team trade with Utah Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves. If reports are to believed, the Lakers are finalising a trade of guard Russell Westbrook to acquire D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt.

However, an official update from the Lakers await, sources close to the NBA side including Shams Charania and Adrian Wojnarowski have confirmed on this trade.
“The Lakers are finalizing deal to land Minnesota’s D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt in trade including Mike Conley and picks to Timberwolves and Russell Westbrook and a lightly protected 2027 LA first-round pick to Jazz,” said NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski in a tweet.
If the NBA sources are to believed, Juan Toscano-Anderson and Damian Jones to Jazz, Nickeil Alexander-Walker to Timberwolves is also the part of the deal.
Notably, this will be D’Angelo Russell’s second stint with the Lakers after he was traded to Brooklyn Nets in 2017. The point guard spent his first two years with the Lakers and was then named in the 2018-2019 All-Star team.
