Logan Paul, the YouTube star and aspiring boxer, has revealed that Dillon Danis, the Bellator MMA fighter and Conor McGregor’s training partner, has been avoiding a potential fight with him. Paul shared a screenshot of a chat conversation between him and Mams Taylor, Danis’ manager, in which he asked for an 8-round bout with Danis, but received no response.
The chat, which Paul posted on his Twitter account, showed that he initially asked Taylor, “Can we do 8 rounds?” Taylor replied, “Let me check.” After several hours of silence, Jeff Levin followed up with, “Is it really going to take that long?” Taylor then said, “We got an 8 rounder?” Paul answered, “No response!!!”
Taylor then admitted, “No way hahahah.” Paul then urged him, “Come on bro.” Taylor finally said, “Yeah man haha I’ll push again.” Paul then replied to it with, “So Dillon’s ghosted us on having an 8-round fight huh.”
He posted the entire screenshot of the conversation on Twitter with the caption, “I tried y’all 😔”
Paul and Danis have been feuding for a while, exchanging insults and challenges on social media. Paul has been calling out Danis as his next opponent after his controversial draw with fellow YouTuber KSI in November 2019. However, it seems that Danis is not keen on facing Paul in the ring, at least not for 8 rounds. Paul has accused Danis of being scared and hiding behind his manager. Danis has not responded to Paul’s latest tweet as of yet.
Logan Paul is reported to return to the ring on October 14 to face Dillon Danis, the Bellator MMA fighter and Conor McGregor’s sparring partner. The fight will take place at the AO Arena in Manchester, U.K., and will be broadcasted by DAZN and Misfits, who announced the bout on Tuesday.
This will be Paul’s first boxing match since he went the distance with Floyd Mayweather Jr., the retired boxing legend, in an exhibition in 2019. The fight will share the main event spot with another clash between social media star KSI and reality TV star and boxer Tommy Fury, who defeated Jake Paul, Logan’s brother, earlier this year. Danis was originally scheduled to fight KSI in January, but he withdrew from the fight with less than two weeks to go.
