Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford found himself in a new controversy as he appeared in an alcohol-based advertisement in the club's match-day programme ahead of the West Ham tie. The English winger found himself in trouble when reported ill to skip team practice after a drinking bender in Belfast.

Subsequently, Marcus Rashford was dropped from the team's FA Cup win against Newport County in South of Wales. Media reports then surfaced that the club had levied a heavy fine on the winger.  Later Manchester United released a statement revealing that Rashford had taken responsibility for his actions.

Since that drinking incident,  Marcus Rashford found himself in a new controversy as he was spotted in a Chivas,  Official Spirits Partner of Manchester United, advert alongside women's team stars Katie Zelem and Mary Earps. The advertisement was part of the club's game-day programme ahead of their Premier League clash against West Ham.

Case closed: Erik ten Hag on Marcus Rashford incident

The Manchester United manager revealed that the club had resolved the issue with Rashford internally and that no further discussion was required.  "He has taken responsibility and the rest is an internal matter. Case closed," said Ten Hag, as quoted by Sky Sports.

Speaking on the importance of discipline in the team, the Dutch manager said, "Nothing to do with that with me.  But in football you need discipline, and that is on the pitch but also off the pitch because also there is a line between. Every player knows this, every professional knows this, what is required."
