A senior officer was quoted by Times of India as, “The cafe was closed and a person in the building had jumped before we reached the spot and he was rushed to the hospital by the public. There was a blast following the fire. There was a Cult Fit gym and Nexa showroom in the same building. The fire has spread to the entire top and second floor of the building.”

However according to police, the incident happened due to the leakage of LPG gas from a cylinder placed in cafe located in the roof top of three-storey building.
