The highly anticipated Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) International Esports Federation (IESF) World Esports Championship (WEC) 2023 is scheduled to commence on August 25. The tournament will feature 16 teams from around the world competing for this year’s championship title and will share a prize pool of USD 100,000 USD.

The top 12 teams will earn a place in the playoffs where the winner will be decided. The matches in the group stage will be held in a best-of-one format while the playoff stage will be played in best of three format. The finals will be played in the best-of-five format.

When will the MLBB IESF WEC 2023 take place?
The MLBB IESF WEC 2023 will be held from August 25 to September 3. The group stage will take place on 25-26 August while the playoffs will be played from August 27 to September 3.

What is the MLBB IESF WEC 2023 format?

Group Stage:
Teams are divided into groups of four each with matches being played in single round robin format. First placed teams from each group will qualify for the Upper Bracket quarter-final, while the second and third placed teams from each group qualify for the Upper Bracket Round 1. The fourth placed team will be eliminated from the tournament. 

Playoffs:
The top twelve teams from the group stage proceed to the playoffs with a double-elimination bracket. The upper bracket winner starts Grand Final with a 1:0 map score advantage.
