Moises Caicedo has reportedly dropped his chance of joining Liverpool despite a record USD 139 million deal from the club. The 21-year-old has expressed his desire to join Chelsea, and it is the reason he has rejected the offer made by Liverpool and clarified that he will join Chelsea only. The offer made by the club was accepted by Brighton on August 10, Thursday.

The Ecuadorian international was expected to be with Liverpool for a medical examination. However, the midfielder continued to remain in London, which makes it clear that he doesn’t want to move ahead with the offer. Now, if reports are to be believed, the Ecuadorian has made it clear that he will leave Brighton only for Chelsea.

The Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp confirmed that a deal was in place between Brighton and Liverpool but said that Caicedo was yet to sign personal terms. He said, “I can confirm the deal that the club has agreed, I don’t know what it means exactly, the player and agreement we will see.

Klopp added, “What changes is we have not endless resources, we didn’t expect a couple of things happening, Hendo, Fab and then it happened and we give it a go and the club was really stretched. We will see in the end. I have told you what I know. Besides that we cannot share, don’t praise the day before the night. Let’s see what happens.”
