Kolkata Knight Riders suffered their second successive loss in IPL 2021 after RCB put on an all-round show and registered a convincing 38-run win over them on Sunday. Former England cricketer Monty Panesar was not happy with the decision making of KKR’s management and suggested that KKR should recruit Indian legends in the coaching setup.
Kaif can be next Rahul Dravid in coaching: Panesar
Monty Panesar opined that franchises have done well with the support of Indian coaching staff and KKR should also opt for it. During the discussion on Sports Tiger's Mid-Wicket live show, Monty said, "From a coaching perspective, you got Mohammad Kaif, who is actually learning behind the scenes with Ricky Ponting and helping the youngsters. I am sure at some point he will become like Rahul Dravid in coaching”.
IPL needs ex-Indian cricketers: Panesar
The 38-year-old further added that IPL should bring former Indian cricketers, who have been part of India’s glory, in coaching setup. The Englishman said, "I think part of the IPL is also bringing in ex-Indian players, who have been success glory of Indian cricket”. Panesar also suggested KKR to bring Yuvraj Singh and see if that could make a difference.
