Answering the question, Cummins said, “I wasn’t particularly happy but he was pretty keen to get out there. H e did an amazing job. I would imagine he is (out of the series).”
The Aussie off-spinner after being lauded for taking the field despite suffering an injury was quoted, “I wanted to bat, it was my call. Pat (Cummins) was probably a bit hesitant but I’d do anything for this team and I’d do it again tomorrow.”
Australia currently stands 2-0 up in the five-match series after winning the second Test by 43 runs on Sunday, July 2. Australian vice-captain Steve Smith was named the Player of the Match after his 110-run knock off 184 deliveries in the first inning.
