Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan greeted his India teammate Avesh Khan with a special title ahead of the IPL 2024 clash between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan at the Wankhede Stadium. Ahead of this fixture, both teams have had contrasting seasons with the Royals clinching two wins in two games while Mumbai suffering two back-to-back defeats away from home.
In these two Rajasthan wins, Avesh Khan has been a pivotal performer with his incredible death-bowling ability. In RR's first match against the Lucknow Super Giants, Khan closed out the game with an array of yorkers and slower balls then repeated this feat against the Delhi Capitals.

I always back my yorkers: Avesh Khan
Analysing his bowling plan in the death overs against Delhi Capitals, Avesh Khan talked about backing his yorkers when the batters are looking to attack. “My plan was clear, one side was longer and I wanted to bowl wide yorkers. I gave myself 5 seconds every ball to think and then execute the plan. If the batters play a good shot, it’s good for him, but I always back my yorkers,” Avesh Khan said after his game.
