As r eported by NDTV, the rest of the members of the squad had no issues getting their authorizations, but Amir’s visa aw a delay due to his spot-fixing scandal. “Because of the spot-fixing case of 2010 and his subsequent jail term and ban his visa is still being processed, we are hopeful he will get his visa in a day or two, and he can join them later,” a source was quoted as saying by NDTV.
Moreover, there remains a huge chance that Amir’s travel to the USA will also be delayed or rejected, owing to his criminal record. Since Mohammad Amir served sentence in UK for his spot fixing scandal, his travel to the USA also hangs in balance. As per US immigration laws, visa can be denied to people who has prior criminal records. In such a scenario, the personal will have to have immigration attorney who can ask for a waiver. Once the waiver is cleared, then the US can grant a personal entry to the state.
