Jonny Bairstow, the opening batter for England, termed the team’s trip to India to participate in the ODI World Cup 2023 as “utter chaos,” while sharing his experience about it, through Instagram stories. On September 29, Friday, the English cricket team reached Guwahati, a city in the Northeast of India, to kick-start their campaign in the quadrennial spectacle, after their trip lasted for more than 38 hours.

The defending champions England will play against the hosts India in the first warm-up match of the competition on September 30, Saturday, at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Then, on October 2, Monday, they will go head-to-head against Bangladesh at the same venue in Northeast India for the second warm-up match of the ODI World Cup 2023.
While Jonny Bairstow was aboard his flight to India, he took to his official Instagram account to post a story about the trip, with a picture of Chris Woakes and captain Jos Buttler in the foreground, while fellow passengers were standing in the background. He captioned it “utter chaos” and “Last leg incoming… been some trip,” accompanied by a teary-eyed laughing emoji.
The England cricket team managed to reach India on the morning of September 29, Friday, despite all the difficulties during their trip, which lasted more than 38 hours.
