Mark Boucher, former cricketer from South Africa and is regarded among the best wicket keepers in the world. Boucher tops the list of most dismissals by any wicketkeeper in all three formats combined. He has 998 dismissal from 467 matches in his international career in Tests, ODIs and T20Is combined. Mark Boucher has also the most dismissals by a wicketkeeper in Test cricket with 555 dismissals from 147 matches in the longest format. He come ahead of some great names like Adam Gilchrist, Ian Healy and  MS Dhoni in the list.

Mark Boucher achieved the milestone of being a wicket keeper with most dismissals in Test cricket during a match against Pakistan in Karachi from October 1 to October 5 in 2007. The right-hander didn’t have a great Test match with the bat but showed his skills behind the stumps and achieved a new feat in his career. On the second day of the Test match on October 2, Mark Boucher made four dismissals including two stumpings and two catches. With this, he also surpassed Australia’s Ian Healy’s record of 395 dismissals in Test cricket, becoming the wicket keeper with most dismissals in the longest format.

South Africa thrashed Pakistan to win the Test match by 160 runs

Mark Boucher has now 555 dismissals to his name from 147 matches in his Test career. Behind him, former Australian cricketer comes second in the list with 416 dismissals from 96 matches in Test cricket, while Ian Healy is now at third spot with 395 dismissals in 119 matches. Talking about the match, South Africa thrashed the hosts Pakistan by 160 runs to take 1-0 lead in a two-match Test series. 

Batting first, South Africa took a lead of 159 runs in the first innings Jacques Kallis top scoring with 155(249) runs, while Paul Harris took five wickets with the ball. After that, South Africa set a target of 424 runs for Pakistan with Kallis scoring another hundred. In reply, Pakistan were bowled out for 263 runs with Dale Steyn taking a five-wicket haul this time. South Africa eventually went on to win the series after the second Test in Lahore ended in a draw.
