Juven tus and France midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly agreed to take some food-related supplements without knowing their components, causing him to test positive in a recent drug test. Pogba has had a turbulent second spell with Bianconeri amidst an injury-hit 2022-23 season.

Adding to his injury-related problems, Paul Pogba could face a four-year ban for his failed drug test which detected the presence of testosterone. Addressing the positive test, Pogba has revealed to Juventus about consuming food supplements unbeknownst of them containing testosterone.
The development was reported by ESPN, "Paul Pogba has admitted to Juventus that he took some food supplements not knowing they contained testosterone that led to his positive drug test and provisional four-year ban."
NADO Italia, the anti-doping agency, released a statement about provisionally suspending Paul Pogba. The statement said, “In acceptance of the instance proposed by the National Anti-doping Prosecutor, it has provided for the provisional suspension of the athlete Paul Labile Pogba.” The tribunal said Pogba had violated anti-doping rules when they found the prohibited substance “non-endogenous testosterone metabolites,” adding that the results were “consistent with the exogenous origin of the target compounds.”

Similarly, Juventus also acknowledged the provisional suspension of Paul Pogba in a statement, which read, “Juventus Football Club announces that today, September 11, 2023, the footballer Paul Labile Pogba received a precautionary suspension order from the National Anti-Doping Tribunal following the results of tests carried out on August 20, 2023.”
