Paul Pogba, the French international, who had his four-year doping ban reduced to 18 months recently after a successful appeal with the CAS, hinted at leaving his current club Juventus during an interview to the French television channel at the Parc des Princes in Paris. When the 31-year-old was asked about whether he will play in Ligue 1 in France at some stage of his career, he responded, “Why not?” which prompted the rumour mill to swirl about a potential transfer from Juventus next year.
Notably, Paul Pogba’s doping ban, which began in September 2022, is slated to end on March 11 next year, just four days before he celebrates his 32nd birthday. The French midfielder, who’s contract with Juventus runs until 2026, will be allowed to train for his return in January of next year, to take the field just over two months down the road for the Italian giants.
Paul Pogba spoke about how the nightmare was over after successful appeal to reduce his doping ban
But, when a question surrounding his potential involvement in the Ligue 1 in France for the first-time in his career came up on the L’Equipe television channel, Paul Pogba didn’t shy away from telling everyone about how he won’t mind it. With the French national team, Paul Pogba is already a FIFA World Cup winner from 2018 when they defeated Croatia 4-2 in the final at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, Russia.
Moreover, after his doping ban was reduced recently, Paul Pogba was quoted as saying, “Finally the nightmare is over. Following the decision by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, I can look forward to the day when I can follow my dreams again.” Also, as per the report from the NDTV Sports, he was a victim of an alleged organised extortion, which led to him, his brother Mathias, and four other men getting ordered to stand trial last month.
