Barcelona defeated Osasuna at the Montjuic Stadium in La Liga on March 28, 2025 by a 3-0 scoreline, courtesy of goals from Ferran Torres, Dani Olmo and Robert Lewandowski. In the absence of winger Raphinha, Hansi Flick deployed four midfielders, giving Gavi his first start after quite some time. Along with the starters, midfielders like Fermin Lopez and Pablo Torre got minutes by coming off the bench. Pablo Torre in particular replaced Frenkie De Jong in the second half, playing the full 45 minutes. His second-half cameo was obviously fruitful to Barca but it paid benefits to his former team Racing Santander as well.
It has been reported by AS Diarro that for the 45 minutes that Pablo Torre played for FC Barcelona in their match against Osasuna, his former club Racing Santander earned 1 million euros. Torre, who made a move to Barcelona in 2022, had a special term in his transfer agreement, wherein Barcelona would pay a bonus sum of 1 million euros for every 10 matches the young Spaniard plays for at least 45 minutes.
Barcelona are back with a bang after the international break with a solid 3-0 victory
Barcelona breezed past Osasuna after playing their first match post the international break and the first of their many matches lined up in the coming weeks. 21-year old midfielder Pablo Torre, who came on in the second half, was directly involved in the third goal for Barcelona. After defending a throw-in, Torre played a lob-pass to Fermin Lopez, who carried it further in the counter-attack and eventually made the assist for Robert Lewandowski’s goal.
Pablo Torre has not received a lot of minutes under Hansi Flick in this season due to the intense competition in the midfield department for Barca, but he will be hoping to step up and deliver in every single opportunity that he gets. With the injury to Dani Olmo in the latest match, Torre can expect to get some more minutes in the upcoming fixtures.
