Former India cricketer turned commentator Ravi Shastri, who is known for his electrifying commentary, called in another World Cup winning moment for India. India clashed against South Africa in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 and defeated the counterparts by a margin of seven runs to win their first World Cup in 13 years. As Anrich Nortje hit the last single, celebration erupted in the Indian dressing room, and Shastri delivered yet another memorable monologue, adding to the excitement of the moment.

Here’s Shastri’s monologue at the moment India snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, “It’s in the air, it’s India who win the T20 World Cup after 17 years. The drought is over. An ICC tournament after 13. They all go round. They have worked extremely hard for this.” Apart from this, the Indian commentator delivered one of the most epic cricket monologues when MS Dhoni hit the winning six to help India win ICC ODI World Cup 2011.

During India’s win 13 years ago, Shastri screamed in the commentary panel, “Dhoni finishes off in style. A magnificent strike into the crowd. India lift the World Cup after 28 years. The party starts in the dressing room and it's an Indian captain who's been absolutely magnificent on the night of the final.”

Coming back to the T20 World Cup 2024 final, the 62-year-old delivered a passionate introduction at the toss. He said, “In the green corner, ready to land an uppercut for the first time, in South Africa captain Aiden Markram and punching bag all the way through the tournament is Rohit Sharma. West Indies’ very own, the one there to keep things calm and be the potential punching bag is match referee Richie Richardson.”

Needless to say, the introduction left everyone at the toss proceedings in splits.
