Star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has kicked-off a new chapter in his life, beginning his political career by joining Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). His wife Rivaba, who is also an MLA in BJP, shared a post on her social media account where Ravindra Jadeja’s picture as a new member of the political party could be seen. Along with that, Rivaba also shared her picture as a primary member of BJP.
Rivaba Jadeja is member of BJP and MLA from Jamnagar seat in Gujarat, the western state of India. Ravindra Jadeja shared various posts on social media during his wife’s election campaign a couple of years ago. Now he is also a part of BJP after taking the primary membership, which could be the prime focus in his life once his cricketing journey comes to a close as a player.
Ravindra Jadeja is expected to be in action during Bangladesh Tests
Ravindra Jadeja was last seen in action during the 2024 T20 World Cup final against South Africa in Barbados on June 29th. He took retirement from the T20 internationals along with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma after India won the coveted trophy defeating Proteas in the final by seven runs. However, he wasn’t included in the India squad for the ODI series in Sri Lanka.
Now, as India are set to face Bangladesh in a two-match Test series to kickstart their long Test season, Ravindra Jadeja will be a key player in the Indian squad. The world’s number one Test all-rounder has been a key player for India in the longest format over the years. It is likely that Jadeja will be included in the Indian squad for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh starting on September 19.
