All the speculations around the venues for the second edition of the Road Safety World Series (RSWS) can be put to an end as it seems highly likely that the tournament will be hosted in India. The organizers look confident about keeping the tournament within the country and hosting it across multiple venues. After a successful first edition, the 2022 edition of the tournament is slated to start from the last week of February.
Earlier, it was being speculated that the second edition of the Road Safety World Series may be moved to the UAE with rising COVID-19 cases in India. But according to a media report, it can be said that the tournament will stay in India as the organizers are planning on hosting the tournament across four venues in the country.
"The organisers are looking for a window during the early part of the Indian summer to hold the second edition of the Road Safety World Series in at least four cities in India - Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Lucknow and Indore. Though the final schedule is yet to be closed, you can expect to see the legends in action again in the next couple of months," MyKhel quoted a source in the know of developments.
"The organisers and local administrations in these cities are also keeping a close watch on the current Covid scenario in the country to decide whether fans can be allowed in the stadium during the event. A final call on this will be taken at a later stage depending on the prevailing situation at that time," the source added.
