Padma Shri awardee Rohan Bopanna recently etched his name in history books by becoming the oldest to claim the world number one ranking. Also, Bopanna clinched his maiden Australian Open men’s doubles title, beating the Italian duo of Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori 6-7, 5-7 on S aturday, January 27.

While he spoke of the Australian Open win as a “monumental moment”, he also revealed his future plans. However, the 43-year-old has his eyes set to on Paris Olympics 2024, Bopanna further revealed that he will next feature at the Dubai Tennis Championships, followed by Indian Wells and Miami Open.
“My immediate plans are to come home to Bengaluru in a couple of days. My next focus would be Dubai (Tennis Championships), India Wells and Miami Open,” he added.
While the Dubai Tennis Championships will kick off on February 24 with the qualifying round, the final is scheduled for March 2. Moreover, Indian Wells will begin on March 6 and played until March 17, the Miami Open will take place from 17-31 March.
