After defeating Asian giants like Pakistan and Sri Lanka, Team India qualified for the Asia Cup 2023 final as Rohit Sharma will look to lead the Men in Blue to their second Asia Cup trophy in ODI format under his captaincy. Ahead of the final, a 13-year-old tweet by legendary Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has gone viral, where he poked fun at then-middle order batsman Rohit Sharma.
Ahead of the Asia Cup 2023 final, Team India are scheduled to face Bangladesh in their final Super 4s fixture on Friday, September 15, which will be a formality as the result of the match won't affect the qualification for the final.

Ahead of the Asia Cup 2010 final, then-26-year-old Rohit Sharma took to his Twitter handle (now X) and asked his fans to wish him and the team good luck after finishing the final practice session. On June 23, 2010, Rohit wrote, "just came back frm practice..big day for us tomorrow wish me n our team great luck !!!"
His tweet grabbed the attention of many and among them, Yuvraj Singh, who was dropped from the squad due to the injury issues, was the one to drop a cheeky comment on his tweet. Yuvraj, who shared a friendly bond with Rohit, wrote, "good luck run faster fatty."
During MS Dhoni's captaincy in 2010, India lifted the Asia Cup trophy as they defeated Sri Lanka by 81 runs at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla , and Rohit Sharma, who was a young prodigy at that time, scored the second-most runs (41 off 52) for his side while batting at number five. Dinesh Karthik opened the innings for India and won the Man of the Match award for his 66-run knock.
