Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Tuesday, October 1 organised the player auction for the third edition of the SA20 league. The premier T20 league of CSA, SA20 2025 will see six teams, namely Pretoria Capitals, Paarl Royals, SunRisers Eastern Cape, Durban Super Giants, Joburg Super Kings, and MI Cape Town once again take the centre stage from January 9 till February 8.
While the Aiden Markram-led SunRisers Eastern Cape will enter the tournament as defending champions, they will kick start the proceedings as they are scheduled to take on MI Cape Town in the tournament opener on January 9 at the S George’s Park in Gqberha. While the six teams boast of international stars; CJ King (Durban Super Giants), JP King (Joburg Super Kings), Tristan Luus (MI Cape Town), Dewan Marais (Paarl Royals), Keagan Lion-Cachet (Pretoria Capitals) and Daniel Smith (SunRisers Easter Cape) have been roped in as rookie drafts.
