Cricket South Africa (CSA) revealed the fixture list for the 2025 edition of the SA20 league with the opening match set to be played between two-time defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape and MI Cape Town at St George’s Park, Gqberha on January 9. The 30-match league phase of SA20 2025 will be followed by a playoff round between the top four teams, to decide the two finalists of the tournament.
After each of the six teams in the SA20 2025 take on one another in a double round-robin format with home and away matches, the top four teams will make it through to the next phase of the tournament. MI Cape Town are the only team in the SA20 to not make it through to the playoffs in the first couple of seasons, finishing in sixth and bottom place in both the editions.

The SA20 is fast emerging as one of the top T20 leagues in the world with high -quality of players signed across all the six teams, with owners from the IPL as well.
