Last year's runners up of the Saudi Pro League, Al Nassr, will face Al Shabab in their fourth game of the Saudi Pro League 2023-24 season on Tuesday, August 29 at the KSU Football Field in Riyadh. Al Nassr started the season poorly, as they are 10th in the Saudi Pro League table with just three points, while Al Shabab are 14th with two points.
Al Nassr got their first win of the 2023-24 Saudi Pro League season in their last game with a 5-0 rout over Al Fateh. Cristiano Ronaldo starred with a hat-trick and former Liverpool winger Sadio Mane got a brace. The hosts have added another European star to their ranks with the arrival of Otavio, who came in from Portuguese club FC Porto. The Al Nassr defense improved in the last game after conceding two in each of the three games before that.
Al Shabab, however, have also started the season in disappointing fashion after finishing fourth in the Saudi Pro League last season. They are yet to win a game, as they have two draws and a loss from the opening three games. A Fahad Al-Muwallad equalizer in the 89th minute rescued them in their last game against Damac, as the game finished 1-1.
