India women’s cricketer Shafali Verma has excelled in her 12th board exams. Verma led the Under-19 team to the World Cup Glory earlier this year and has scored 80 per cent plus marks in her 12th board exams. She took it to Instagram to share her delight and shared her marksheet and said that she is elated to score good marks in the board examination. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results of 10th and 12th boards on Friday. 

Sharing the picture of her marksheet on Instagram, Verma wrote, “Another very special 80+ smash in 2023, but this time in 12th boards! I am very happy with my results and can’t wait to give my all to my favourite subject - cricket!" The Haryana-born cricketer made her international debut in 2019 and has played 79 games for India since then. She became the first Indian captain to win the Women’s U19 T20 World Cup earlier this year. Shafali grabbed headlines when she was purchased by Delhi Capitals in the Women’s Premier League for INR 2 Crore, and helped her team reach the finals of the first edition of the WPL. 

In the short version of the game, Shafali has 1333 runs with a strike rate of 132.11 and 531 runs in 21 ODI matches. She made her Test debut in 2021 against England and has played two matches since then and scored 242 runs. In the inaugural season of the WPL, she smashed 252 runs in 9 matches at a strike rate of 185.29.
