Indian batting star Shubman Gill shared a social media post with Indian skipper Rohit Sharma amid rift rumours. The batter is currently travelling with the Indian squad in the USA and West Indies for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. While Gill wasn’t a part of the regular Indian squad, he was included in the team as a travelling reserve along with Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan.

Recently, rumours of rift between Gill and Sharma started to circulate in the media claiming that the former unfollowed the seasoned Indian opener on his Instagram. Not only this but reports claimed that the 24-year-old returned home midway through the World Cup due to disciplinary issues. However, Indian coach Vikram Rathour quashed the rumours and said that they were untrue.
