W hen a Chicago Bulls fan, at the United Center, told Donte DiVincenzo, the New York Knicks guard, to tuck in his jersey, he torched him by saying “Shut the f**** up.” The Knicks went on to lose the away trip to the Bulls, but with the Magic losing to the Hornets, they remained tied with them in the NBA Eastern Conference, staying well in contention for a playoff spot.
In the first half, the Chicago Bulls firmly dominated the game against the New York Knicks, taking a 61-45 lead at the break. The second half saw the Knicks stage a comeback, cutting down the deficit to just five points, but the Bulls were too strong at the flag end, winning it 108-100.
Donte DiVincenzo, who finished with 10 points for the Knicks, including two three-pointers on seven attempts, had an interaction with a Bulls fan, which annoyed him instantly. When he was asked to tuck in his jersey, DiVincenzo turned back before exclaiming, “Shut the f*** up.”
When another fan in the background said, “I mean, it’s a rule in the NBA,” to which Donte DiVincenzo said nothing. As per the official rules of the NBA, “While playing, players must keep their uniform shirts tucked into their pants, and no T-shirts are allowed.”
However, despite the tough loss, the New York Knicks welcomed OG Anunoby back into the fold, who finished with 12 points after playing for 29 minutes. This development happened after Julius Randle opted to undergo season-ending shoulder surgery.
