While New Zealand batter  Glenn Phillips  is himself one of the most stylish T20 batters among the current crop of cricketers, the BlackCap International feels he cannot dream of playing shots as one Indian batter does.

Speaking about the stylish batters in world cricket, Phillips rated Suryakumar Yadav at the top and stated that the Indian batter puts a lot of pressure on the opposition with unique shots in his arsenal.

Notably, Glenn Phillips was one of the two batters to score a century in recently concluded T20 World Cup 2022, in Australia, while Suryakumar Yadav finished the ICC tournament as the third-highest run-getter.

On his maiden Australian tour, Suryakumar Yadav impressed the cricket fraternity with the ease with which he scored runs and his incredible batting style, which led to everyone calling him the new Mr. 360 in world cricket.

"Suryakumar Yadav is incredible. The things he does I would not even imagine and dream of doing. I would love to try but we have very different games. The wrist strength that he has got to hit sixes in extremely awkward areas is a sheer talent you rarely see," Phillips was quoted as saying in stuff.co.nz.

The Kiwi batter further mentioned the 'high risk-high reward' game is played by him, and the Indian batter also gives the opportunity to the opposition to come back in the game as one of those rare shots might drop in the fielder's hand.

"I have got my strengths and he has got his and we go about our jobs in different ways. The way we both play, presents opportunities for the opposition to get us as well. It’s part of the risk and reward of middle-order cricket in T20," added Phillips.

Notably, Suryakumar Yadav is currently the top run-getter in the 2022 calendar year with whopping 1040 runs at an average of 43 and a magnificent strike rate of 186. The 32-year-old is currently the top-ranked batter in the men's rankings. Meanwhile, Phillips is eighth in the ICC T20I batter's list and has scored 650 runs at a strike rate of 158 plus.
