Giannis Antetokounmpo came up with a total of 26 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists to lead his side Milwaukee Bucks to the NBA Cup win. The Bucks took down their counterparts Oklahoma City Thunder with a scoreline of 97-81 on Tuesday. With this, the Bucks became the second winner of the Cup, after the Los Angeles Lakers won the inaugural season of the tournament last year. The game saw Damian Lillard adding 23 points for the Bucks.
On the other hand, Shai Gilgeous-Alexande led the Thunder with 21 points but shot just 8-for-24 from the field. It included 2 of 9 from 3-point range. Apart from him, Jalen Williams added 18 points on 8-of-20 shooting, while Isaiah Hartenstein added 16. Antetokounmpo scored 14 points in the first half and Lillard contributed 12 as Milwaukee led 51-50 at the break. The Thunder held a 28-27 advantage going into the second half because of a 3-pointer by Gilgeous Alexander with 1:22 left in the quarter.

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was named the Most Valuable Player of the NBA Cup after his side took down the Thunder 97-81 to seal the title. The eight-time NBA All-Star finished with a triple-double figure of 26 points, 19 rebounds and 10 assists at T-Mobile Arena. He also recorded three blocks and two steals. After the game, the two-time NBA MVP said, “No matter win or lose, we know we were going to leave Vegas a better team. I’m so proud of this group.”
He added, “We came out in the third quarter. We set the tone. We played great team basketball. We were moving the ball. Guys were making shots, but most importantly, we were competing defensively.” In the previous season, as the Los Angeles Lakers won the inaugural season of the NBA Cup, LeBron James was named as the MVP.
