South Africa will be taking on India in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. Both these teams are unbeaten in the 2024 edition of the tournament, continuing their unbeaten run. It will be the first time that one of these teams will continue their winning streak throughout the tournament.
The Aiden Markram-led side are coming into the finals after topping the Group D and Super 8 Group 2 stage. In the semifinals, they defeated Afghanistan by nine wickets to make their maiden final appearance. On the other hand, India, the inaugural champions of the T20 World Cup 2024, topped the Group A standings and the Group 1 Super 8 stage to progress into the semifinals. In the semifinal, they defeated England by 68 runs to make their third consecutive ICC final.
But as they take the field for the summit clash, weather has been one of the major factors. With rain marring second semifinal in Guyana, there are probability of rain in the finale too. According to the listings on Accuweather, the weather is expected to stay mostly cloudy with thunderstorms in parts of the area.
The probability of precipitation on Saturday, June 29 stands at 46 per cent while the probability of thunderstorms lies at 28 per cent. While the temperature in Barbados is expected to be somewhere around 31 degree Celsius, the cloud cover is expected to be 99 per cent.
