The Asia Cup 2022 is already underway as Afghanistan beat Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the tournament opener on Saturday at the Dubai International Stadium. Ahead of Team India's opener against Pakistan on Sunday, Rohit Sharma interacted with the press in Dubai.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma dodged a reporter's question over Men in Blue's opening combination against Pakistan in their Asia Cup 2022 opener on August 28. With the return of vice-captain KL Rahul in the squad and presence of in-form batters like Deepak Hooda and Surya Kumar Yadav, many people are wondering about India's opening combination.
Rohit dodged the questing over India's opening combination as he said, " Ye kal toss ke baad dekh Lena kon aayega humre saath open karne, thoda to secret hume bhe rakhne do yrr" (It will be decided after the toss tomorrow, let us also keep some secrets).

The captains of India and Pakistan addressed the traditional press conference on the eve of the fixture, where Rohit Sharma was quizzed about Team India's playing XI. Rohit asserted that the playing XI will be fixed after having a look at the pitch conditions and Sri Lanka-Afghanistan's opening fixture.
