Tilak Verma has been one of the finds of Mumbai Indians and he will be playing his first IPL game at his home at the Rajiv Gandhi stadium in Hyderabad with all his family and friends watching. Ahead of the clash, the youngster hosted the MI camp with dinner at his house in the city.
The youngster tweeted a photo with Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma along with other team members and Verma’s family. The stylish left-hander captioned it as “Honoured to host my MI family at my home for dinner. A wonderful night that my family and I won’t forget. Thank you for coming.”
Tilak Verma burst onto the scene last season when he made 397 runs at a strike rate of 130 and this season he has been Mumbai’s top scorer with 177 runs in four matches with an impressive strike rate of 150. Hyderabad has a great cricketing culture and a history of producing great players Mohammed Azharuddin and VVS Laxman are the stand-out names, in the current team Mohammed Siraj. Tilak Verma is another young prospect with a high ceiling and in the company of greats like Rohit Sharma and Sachin Tendulkar he has the best conditions to improve.
