Indian pacer Mohammed Shami shared a heartfelt post on his social media after reuniting with his daughter Aaira. The cricketer met his daughter after a long time and couldn’t resist himself from giving her a hug in a viral video. The father and daughter were seen enjoying their day out in a shopping mall where Shami took his daughter shopping and did his father duties. Notably, Shami and his wife Hasin Jahan got separated a few years ago.
Mohammed Shami took to Instagram to share moments of joy with his daughter Aaira. He shared a post with the caption “Time stood still when I saw her again after long time. Love you more than words can say, Bebo.” After their marriage in 2014, Mohammed Shami and Hasin Jahan got divorced in 2018 after various allegations on Shami by Hasin. Since then, their daughter Aaira has been living with her mother.
Mohammed Shami could miss Australia tour due to swollen knee
Mohammed Shami hasn’t been seen in action on the cricket field after the 2023 ODI World Cup. The right-arm fast bowler sustained an ankle injury ahead of IPL 2024 and has been rehabilitating National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. However, Shami has faced another setback as he sustained a swollen knee. Due to this, Shami could also miss the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar trophy in Australia.
"Shami had resumed bowling, and he was looking on track to make a comeback to competitive cricket soon. But this knee injury has flared up recently. BCCI's medical team is assessing the injury, but it may require quite a bit of time," a BCCI source was quoted as saying by Zee News.
