With the last couple of days remaining for the Tokyo Olympics 2020 to come to a close, August 6 proved to be a heart-breaking day for India as both their marquee wrestlers scheduled to participate failed to reach the final round. Not only that, the Women’s Hockey team also suffered a narrow 4-3 defeat via the hands of Great Britain which subsequently lowered the position of India to 66 in the medal tally. However, 23-years-old Golfer, Aditi Ashok seems to be in a glorious form after securing second position following Round 3.
Having said that, it was the Chinese contingent who managed to maintain their lead even after Day 14’s completion with 36 gold medals. United States of America did manage to win a gold medal (31) today, but it wasn’t enough to bridge their gap with China. The former contingent is followed by Japan with 24 gold medals. After which ranks Great Britain, whose tremendous form on day 14 ensured them a place higher than ROC in the medal tally.
