The elite competition between two greatest cricketing nations India and Australia, known as the Border Gavaskar Trophy is set to begin on November 22. Named after cricketing legends Allan Border and Sunil Gavaskar, the tournament stands as one of the most iconic and highly-anticipated competitions between India and Australia.  As of this year, India dominate the contest with a total of 10 series wins, while Australia have claimed five wins as one series ended in a draw.

Sachin Tendulkar

The cricketer has played a total of 34 matches (65 innings) in the series between 1996 and 2013, where he scored 3,262 runs averaging at 56.24, with the highest score of 241*. The former Indian cricketer scored nine hundreds against Australia.
