The Big Bash League 2022-23 is underway in Australia. The twelfth edition of the tournament kicked off on December 13, 2022 with Melbourne Stars going against Sydney Thunder. Ahead of the defending champions Perth Scorchers match against Melbourne Stars, the team was dealt with a massive blow.
England pacer Tymal Mills pulled out of the tournament after his two-year-old daughter suffered from a stroke. Mills, revealed this unfortunate news before boarding a flight in the Big Bash League 2022-23 and later confirmed that he has pulled out of the tournament.
The 30-year-old took to social media to share this news. “As we were at the airport about to leave for Australia our daughter suffered what ending up being a stroke. She lost complete use of the left side of her body and we were told they couldn’t predict how much she would regain,” he said.
David Payne called in as replacement
The four -time winners of the Big Bash League announced the replacement for Tymal Mills. Left-arm quick David Payne will replace Mills in the Scorchers.
