World boxing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury shared a strong message for his next opponent Oleksandr Usyk after their forthcoming fight got rescheduled. Fury and Usyk were set to lock horns on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However, their fight got postponed as Fury suffered a freaky cut above his right eye in a training session, a few days before the fight. After Fury confirmed the injury and informed about postponing the fight, Usyk’s promoter commented the Brit. 

Usyk’s promoter Alexander Krassyuk commented on Instagram and said that it was a sign from god that Fury should announce his retirement. Boxing fans, who were looking forward to watching the clash live expressed their frustration about Fury’s injury. Not only this, but several theories started circulating stating that The Gypsy King intentionally cut his eye to avoid clashing against Usyk. 


Tyson Fury shares special message for Oleksandr Usyk

Krassyuk’s comments didn’t go well with Fury and he hosted an Instagram live to share a strong message for his opponent. Not only this, but he also revealed new dates for the fight, scheduling it for May 18. In his Instagram Live, the 35-year-old said, “Nice little elbow in the right eye, nearly cost me the biggest fight of my career. Sh*t happens, but we move on. We keep moving forward, and now we have a new date.”

He added, “Usyk crying his eyes out. Tyson should retire. Oh, he wants to retire. Oh, no retirement here motherf***er. You're getting knocked out. Knocked spark out. May 18, the new date. Live and exclusive from Saudi Arabia."
